Ear/ trigeminal nerve pain- whats helping me
« on: June 25, 2023, 09:21:00 pm »
Just thought I would share something. I have had bad ear pain for 4 years (how I was diagnosed) it wakes me at night...sometimes behind eye and in jaw. Anyways- nothing helped until I discovered past 4 nights that vicks vaporub on an earbud in ear and massaged under ear and temples completely stopped the pain! I had read it helps for earache as a remedy and tried it. Am amazed how effective it is. However- now reading shouldnt put in ear...ugh. Anyway around ear then shld be fine.

Glad to "hear" you found relieve for you pain.  Thanks for sharing your remedy, I don't have the pain but if I do I hope I remember what you did!  Jill

I dont know if its the menthol but it makes a big difference to my sleep re the pain. I am now rubbing it on my knee which twinges at times. But for those with Trigeminal issues it may help.

Thanks for sharing that, Michele!  That is great to know!
Burning Tongue, Loss of Hearing & Balance, and Tinnitus led to MRI. Very small AN found on 11/23/2021
While watching and waiting, lost significant hearing. WRS now at 12% (down from 100%). Was fitted with CROS system on 3/7/22.  Stable MRI on 7/29/22
No treatment yet.
