Post BAHA uestions

MDF:
 I had BAHA surgery and was told I could take the gauze off today, and take a shower tomorrow. I'm wondering do I leave the dressing on covering the abutment, and how do I bathe exactly after surgery? Sorry for the stupid questions, I just would like to know. didn't think of them before surgery due to nervousness, and when I got through I woke up in the recovery room and my Dr./surgeon was gone. Sorry again if these are stupid questions.

Hi I too had the BAHA implanted. I was told that I could shower and shampoo after a week and just let the shampoo run over the BAHA and clean with water.  You do not have to put any gauze over it after. In fact I let my hair air dry and when I go out I tie a bandana around my head so as not to let dust get in.   Hope this helps
