Question About Cross Facial Nerve Grafts
« on: April 27, 2018, 03:21:50 pm »
I had this procedure done 2 weeks ago. I have no problem with my face after the surgery, but I have really bad nerve pain in my ankle and up my calf from the nerve being harvested.  Has anyone else had this procedure and did you have nerve pain with it?

Yes I have had it done and yes I found the leg pain much worse than the face.
Speedy recovery

How long did it take for the nerve pain to go away? I am starting week 3. Also were you happy with your results?

Are you on FB? Did you happen to see that the ANA did a Facebook live event TODAY about this very thing?

I think this link should get you there:

I'm sorry I really can't remember how long it took for the pain to decrease, I had all my repairs done in the early 1990's. I am happy with the results I was able to achieve with the various surgery's I had.
