The cost of the surgery is 35k - this is with insurance coverage, but my plan with Cigna does not provide coverage for this due to it being out of network. They said around 40k with no insurance coverage at all which is weird to me.

I was referred to a specialist to attempt to get Cigna to pay but we'll see. 35-40k is a price to pay, but I feel it's almost worth it.

Hi Darren, Have you finally done the surgery with Azizzadeh?

S.saeed:
I am in loop with selective neurolysis procedure.
I had first consultancy with Dr. Babak. Got appointment after a month from my contacting date. :)
I put my case in front of him (Parotid gland tumor removed 22 years ago) had partial facial paralysis & skynesis.

Kristena is right please do ask the prices for individual procedure because the quotation i got was also a lump sum amount. which was around $95k  :-[

I guess i have to drop out few procedures and stick to S.Neurolysis + Facial fat transfer only, as this is way beyond my range. And he is the best in the world for Neurolysis procedure.

hotel stay, hospital fee, medical tests & medicine fee are not included.

Anyone who has done this Selective Neurolysis from him please guide me about the approx expenses of hospital stay fee & medical tests and medicine fee . how many days it needs to stay in hospital ? Any prior or post medical tests are there?

Darren please to guide us for this procedure how many days approx have to stay in hospital, any medical tests required pre or post surgery? and medicine expenses are there? how much we have to manage the cash other then surgery expense?

Briec:
I see some people have misinformation. There are two doctors in NY and one in Ohio that do this procedure. Azizzadeh revised it however, he did not 'pioneer' it. Also, other surgeons work with insurance.
Do some research and you will find others.
