Just diagnosed in New England
« on: August 25, 2015, 06:40:09 pm »
Any recommendations for the New England area for Medical Centers / doctors. Mine is 24 mm X 22 mm X 23 mm and I am 55 years old with limited hearing in my left ear. Looking for suggestions from people who have been through this before. Thanks a lot..

Castle Connolly's Top Doctors database is one place to start: http://www.castleconnolly.com/doctors/

The ANA physicians directory also has listings of specialists by state: https://www.anausa.org/resources/medical-resources/physicians-directory/47-menu-articles/9/418-physician-directory-by-state

Alot of people in Boston area like Barker/Mckenna.  Best of luck keep us posted.
Dx 2.6 cm Nov 2012, 35% hearing loss.  Grew to 3.5 cm Oct 2013.  Pre-op total hearing loss, left side tongue numb.  Translab Nov 2013 House Clinic.  Post-op no permanent facial or other issues.  Tongue much improved.  Great result!!

I had Dr. Al-Mefty at Brigham and Women's hospital in Boston. He is a great doctor with awesome bedside manners and very well known. I was even told by the MRI person he has a reputation to be like a god with this type of surgery.
best of luck
