Just returned from having my first MRI post GK.  Now I just have to be patient and wait for the results.  I sure hope it will be good news.

tinnitus with high pitch hearing loss
Will have gammaknife at UVA with Dr. Sheehan on 10/12/12

The results are in from my first MRI post GK in March.  It shows a slight increase in size but, this is due to swelling from GK and not actual tumor growth.  Good news.  Another MRI in 6 months.

I am so happy I chose GK over surgery.

Hi, Bonnie ~

Congratulations on your MRI report!  Post-radiation swelling is typical and should be gone by your next MRI.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Great News!  hope for continued progress.... on my first 6mo check the size was the same just less dense.  My next one is dec 18th which is around the corner.  By late afternoon I get a pressure feeling headache....hoping mine is due to stresses life brings us!!
