« on: June 24, 2012, 03:22:44 pm »
Please let me know if any of you have used a gamma knife doctor in Florida with whom you are satisfied.  Not getting recommendations from my doctors for treatment or doctors to help me.  After much research, I know I want gamma knife in low dosage treaments.  All advice gratefull accepted.

Hi MaryJane - don't know where you are in Florida but there is a CyberKnife center in Palm Beach Gardens and a Dr. Spunberg used to answer questions on the Accuray CyberKnife board - he even called me once.  Not sure about Gamma Knife locations or anyone using them.  Also in Orlando there is a great radiation oncologist who was previously at a large teaching hospital in Boston if you wanted to talk to someone for another opinion on different types of radiation.  My husband saw him in Boston and we were impressed (Dr. Naren Ramakrishna with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center).

Good luck,
Sheryl

Have you looked at the Medical Resources on the ANA sight?  If I remember right there are several references for Miami, Gainsville, and Jacksonville.  I had my CK done in Brandon, outside of Tampa.
