Hi Lillygold .....

I do not know anything about Dr. Dotson but you should ask him how many acoustic neuromas he has treated and/or how many he does each year.  This is one time when experience really does matter since ANs are relatively rare.

Also, check out:  http://www.anausa.org/index.php/medical-resources/physicians-directory

Best wishes.

Thank you for replying. I am glad life is good for you. Hopefully I can get this all over. Making the right decision for treatment is the big question.

I don't know of Dr. Dotson, but I live in Illinois, and would have no reason to know him.

However, just wanted to mention a great group in Ohio (Cinncinati area) - Tew, Pensak, and Theodosopoulos.

Best,

Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

Yes, Dr. Theodosopoulos at the Mayfield Clinic in Cincinnati is great. Highly recommend him and that group. Easy to talk with, kind, very honest and down to earth. Good luck!
