« on: July 21, 2010, 07:40:52 pm »
I live in Dallas and it is scorching hot, usually over 100 in july/august .
the lacrilube just runs out of my eye because its so hot and drops [refresh]  only work for maybe 10 minutes before i have to put more in, anybody have any suggestions ?
whatever i use has to be preservative free, i thought about keeping the lube in the fridge but i work outside .

Sat~
It got REALLY hot and DRY in Amarillo and never had any trouble - I just put Refresh PM in once at night and once in the morning right after my shower...

If I think of anything I will let you know...Good Luck!

Hi John: as K said, Refresh PM ointment is my saving grace.   I still use it as often as necessary since I have total paralysis.   Keep your cornea protected buddy.
Always good thoughts,  Nancy

I was told by opthomologist - on a "good day" one drop of refresh 4 times a day.  On a bad day - as often as needed.  But  only one drop at a time.  I was "flooding" my eye for the past six months, but find much more relief with one drop at a time.  Have dry eye severe on surgery side. Only slightly on good side.  As I love to quilt and read - this sure slows me down.  Doc plugged my bottom tear duct, not sure I see alot of improvement.  I feel like I need new lenses and I just got new ones in Nov.  Deaf on one side and slowly going blind (at least that is how it feels some days).
age 55  2.2 cm AN - right side. Retrosigmoid surgery 10/28/09.  Total loss of hearing on right side

My eye runs like a faucet when I sweat, so the hotter it is, the moister my eye stays.  You win some, you lose some...  LOL
