well, all... it's that time. I spoke to our lovely host, Bill, and we are booked for the October brunch.
Sunday, Oct 25 at 12:15pm (no rushing our meals, folks!)
Maxine's Room (next to the Boardroom... since we have been SRO for the past 2 brunches)

Me thinks that the "darn" baseball classic back in the spring made his ##### arm tired. Like Eck (I like him with Don A., he's funny with his comments about, cheese and hair) anyways like Eck said he worn himself out by pitching too much in March. I say sent him back!!!! and I'll pitch, just kidding.

next trip to the UK, I will be planning another UK AN Brunch (did one in Shaftesbury Dorset last December when I was there). Will try to do one closer to Central London to try to help folks that can travel to London so we can all meet.
BTW, where is Worcester UK? Not familiar?

Worcester is in the West Midlands - South of Birmingham and north of Tewkesbury (pronounced Chooksbury). It is the home of Royal Worcester porcelain. London is a couple of hours drive eastwards. Gloucestershire is very nice as is Cambridgeshire :)

Oh! That's the day we land at Logan returning from Edinburgh after our Ireland trip! I think a 4:25pm arrival will be too late!!!! Leave a dumpling in the lobby for us. :-\

Great, sorry it has taken me time to reply, been working like crazy lately. Still plan on attending, hope I can still ride with Jane and Andy. Have a doctor appt. for a physical this Wed, Aug 19th, been having some pain, have been thinking of moving my MRI up a bit not sure yet.
Boy the Sox have been "tanking" lately, now we are 7 and a half games behind, boo hoo. Hope we can hang on to the wild card.

Physical went fine, all of the blood work came back normal, I asked to see a nutritionist for my 15 lb wt gain due to quitting smoking, and my nausea. Doctor said "no" that I am just overweight and not obese ??? Not sure if I should be happy about that. She gave me the refurral for Boston to and recommened that I move the MRI up. I will be calling today.
Went to the cape this past weekend with Hurricane Bill, survived. Sox are still "tanking".

Sox still in the wildcard, cringed at last night's game.....Beckett gave up wayyyy too many HR's..... and let us know when the MRI is. Glad the tests came back fine, the wave action from Bill went ok (heard about what happened up in Maine)... and yes, to seeing you in October at the brunch.
Ok, folks... believe it or not.... time to pencil/ink in the October brunch. 2 mos away and those attending should be noting it now if you haven't. Who's going to be in Boston for fall foliage or Haunted Happenings in Salem?

If I don't go to surgery in mid October at MGH, I would love to come and meet all of you. I am still trying to decide between MGH and Brigham, but I then have to wait until early November. I am worried about waiting so long, but I am not sure how impersonal MGH is in its care.

Attended the Metro Boston ANA Support Group meeting yesterday and many were interested in attending the brunch. We have a new forum user (gingerbread6) who I had the extreme honor of meeting and she'll be joining us as well.....so..... adding her to the RSVP list.
We're counting down folks. I need to give headcount no later than Oct 19.... any other RSVP's, regrets, etc? Currently 28 and counting.... let's top our current record, which I believe is 28-30 (heck, I've lost count after all of the brunches!)

Bloke noted to me that the Pats are playing at Wembley (for what reason, I have NO clue) but given the opportunity, we'd fly over, stay with the inlaws, rail to Wembley for the game to get a take on how Brits view " 'Merican" football! :)

Just had my yearly MRI today at Mass General the same date as last year, Oct. 20th.
It's been a good year so far. Palace and I hooked-up and took a trip to Europe for a month. What an experience!! A week in Rome, Royal Caribbean cruise around Italy, Portafino, Tuscany, Messina, Sicily, Venice, Croatia, Naples, Zurich, Paris. More at the brunch.....

we've had a casualty! :o My crazykat rocker dood (who was going to share about this whirlwind trip he just took!) had something come up (riding to the brunch without him just won't seem right :-\ )...... so..... I can accommodate one more in my car if someone needs a ride (have 3 already and can take 1 more). I'll be coming from Rt 128/I-95 north of town (Woburn cloverleaf area), heading down to Mass Pike (I-90), heading west.
for those that need road directions, please follow the link below for the restaurant (they have a link for the road directions) as well as the Sunday Brunch menu :)
Everyone should meet downstairs in the main lobby area away from the elevators (brunch vets will know where....)

Paul, if you had been 'lurking' at it without being logged on, it will reflect the site server time, which is PST. If you are logged on, then it does show (as long as you set it on your profile) as EST. It is showing me that I posted this "Posted on: October 23, 2009, 02:34:09 PMPosted by: ppearl214", which is after I got your email :) If you lurked it, it would have shown as PST, which would have been the 11:34 (PST) as you note. Make sure your profile is also showing you have it set for your timezone (EST). When the site was moved to the new host server, it defaults to PST where it is located.

Well, finally here! We did have another casualty with Helga and know that she will also be missed today! :'(
Final headcount, as of now is 31..... all I have to say is wow! :o :)
will be leaving in a little bit. I believe many of you have my cellphone number in case anything comes up. Looking forward to seeing everyone there... don't forget to set DVR's/VCR's for the Pats game from Wembley so you can watch later. Please remember to wear stretchy-waistband pants or MooMoo's as the food will be abundant! :)

finally slowing down after a very hectic day for me yesterday... and glad you all are enjoying the pics.
First, I want to thank my co-hort in brunch crime, jcinma/Jane and her hubby Andy for the Halloween fun! :) Balloons, spiders, halloween goodie bags, and for being who they are! MAJOR thank you!
Well, MANY new faces again along with the brunch vets! Yes, in the larger room! More wait staff, more food. It was great to have colorlady/Donna, current/interim ANA Metro Boston Support Group facilitator at the meeting and tickled she was able to join us. For those interested in reaching her about the Metro Boston Support group, you can PM her here at "colorlady"
Now, I know the apple dumplins didn't arrive yesterday (and I thank my Brazilian Nut, Gil, for the Halloween cupcakes) and he was ducking for cover when no dumplins showed up (feeling was that the headcount was too large for him to dedicate the time and energy from his job to make them for a larger headcount). Please know this... per Gil.... "regardless of headcount for the next brunch, apple dumplins WILL be made for the next brunch.... no matter what!" :) That's our Gil!
So, I want to thank everyone that came from near and far (from Maine to CT from NH and all over MA)..... hoping everyone enjoyed and yes, the next one is booked (had to secure the room again) for

thats because its a "closed" mouth smile ... its not to bad then ... its seems the upper portion of my facial mucles are/have recovered nicely... its the lower lip section that still needs some work... >:(

Now, there was someone missing from the brunch yesterday that I have been told I could share a recent update. Baby Audrey has been in AZ with momma Katie (kbonner) and was unable to attend yesterday. Mom Katie emailed me a piccie to share with you all since they could not join us yesterday. This proud "auntie" can't get over how big she is getting.... and hoping they can join us in April.

Thanks again for organizing another great Sunday brunch at Maxwell's with the ANA Northeast Discussion group. I had the pleasure of meeting a few 'new' folks, i.e. Erin, Laura, Marie, Joseph and his wife, Holly and of course, some of the more familiar faces, including Bob (stoneax), Joe ('Joef) and you, Phyl. The food was delicious, as always - and the company delightful. It was over much too soon. I look forward to April 2010 and the next ANA brunch and I hope to continue my correspondence (via PM and e-mail) with some of the folks I met on Sunday. Phyl, you are the quintessential hostess. As usual the brunch was wonderful. Many thanks to Phyl for making it possible for us to get together. Many thanks to Jane for the lovely decorations. It was great talking with people that I've gotten to know thru past brunches and meeting new folks----priceless.

Thanks for the excellent photos taken at the ANA Northeast Discussion Group brunch last month! They capture the spirit and camaraderie that was present as well as giving folks who couldn't be there a glimpse of how it looked and a chance to view a few of us 'in action'. Of course, my 'action' mainly consisted of talking and eating but I did get to meet quite a few folks, including you and Scarlett. I think I would have needed all day to talk with everyone but Tina got to visit with a few folks and they apparently found her company to be quite pleasant, just as I do. ;) Thanks again for recording the event in photos and taking the time to post them here.
