Title: VIDEO OF MY ENDOscopic resection Shahinian
Post by: ixta on May 04, 2009, 09:26:28 pm
I decided to post my operation from Dr. Shahinian of the Skull Base Institute.
It is within my recovery site from a certain addiction and my AN I nicknamed Kuato from the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie TOTAL RECALL
Excuse the informal farse that the site is but if it were not for my dark humor and this AN website forum, the struggle to get through it would have been tough and "not fun".

Feel free to browse around. There are also pictures of the surgery on the site.

VIEWER Discretion Advised. if you do not like the site of blood, etc.
I added some sound from the movie, so don't freak out, that's not the Doctor speaking lol.
If you have not seen the movie Total Recall you might not get the context of the spliced in voice over or images.
Shahinian here is using two instruments along with the endoscope camera.
One instrument eats at the tumor, and the other controls bleeding, and ya, I believe that is my cerebellum to the right..

ya it's hard to believe that the work is done in such a confined space. and those instruments you see in the vid are microsurgical instruments, meaning, they are only a few mm in size. Shahinian contracts with a special engineer to design them, and of course, they are thrown out after each use. Not "autoclaved"  :D
