Just to let you know that I had my six month after Gamma Knife Treatment MRI done this past Monday. My neurosurgeon, Dr. C. Rosen, said that my AN tumor has not grown anymore. :D He feels it could be shrinking. He is not committing himself to it though. ::) I will have another MRI in six months and will find out more then. I feel better knowing that the tumor did not grow this time. He is sending me to a ENT for the excessive tinnitis noise and balance problems I have.

Joy,
This is great news! 6 months is generally too soon for any commitment regarding regrowth. I had translab surgery, and at 6 mos my MRI showed no regrowth of some residual tumor cells, but "too soon to know for sure." It's a good start, tho :)
Regarding tinnitus ... unfortunately, we can never know total silence again. Youth, health and silence -- three things I think we can all agree, as being -- what most people take for granted !
What noisy minds we have :)
Sincerely,
Becky

Becky; I can hear you in Iowa! - smile -
Joy; Good news but you're just getting started. Don't be surprised if the next MRI shows a little tumor enlargement due to swelling.
Re: Tinnitus; It generally accompanies a hearing loss and is a life long friend, or enemy, if we let it get to us. I believe it is fairly common for irradiation to produce at least a minor hearing loss due to it's absorption by cochlear ciliary.
Huh? Hahahaha....
