Here are 2 simple tests regarding meningitis:

Lie flat, flex thigh to be at right angle with trunk, and extend the leg at the knee. If cannot do because of leg pain, then meningitis.

Lie flat, flex neck/bend head up. If knee/hip bends, then meningitis.
