After living with facial paralysis and a 12/7 transfer for 24 years I was convinced by Elliott Rose a plastic surgeon in NY that a fascia lata sling transplant would give me a huge improvement. I had the surgery in Dec of ’06 and after 5 corrective surgeries, two by Dr. Byrne at Johns Hopkins and one by Dr. Lisman an eye specialist in NY, I am still dealing with pain and a result that gave little or no improvement. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has had this surgery with Rose and if anyone is thinking of having it to please find someone else

I did not have surgery by Dr. Rose, but I just had surgery with Dr. Byrne in Baltimore this past spring and absolutely LOVED him. Isn't he great? Even though the surgery didn't give me a whole lot of movement, I am still very pleased with the results.
