Hello Everyone!
Just wondering if anyone is from Portland or the Pacific Northwest. I was wondering if there were any local support groups or maybe we could create one. I do love these forums and on-line groups and would love to see if theres support outside of here.

Hello Kelly,
I am from Beaverton Oregon, which is a suburb of Portland!!! We do have a support group and the last meeting was just this past Saturday! I was unable to go to that one, but I am sure Steve will chime in and DHM (Daisy Head Maisy) too! I am a watch and waiter for now! Welcome aboard, there's lot's of help from all these wonderful people!

That was me chiming in. ;D
We did have a meeting Saturday, and DHM ran the meeting, in her new role as co-leader! Jerry is still the other co-leader, but he went off to a wedding (looking dapper for a change). Next one is Dec 6th, 12:30 pm, Casey Eye Institute, all about facial retraining, and sure to be good. DHM will have all the details.
Mindy, is there a group up in Snohomish? You can come to Portland if you want... Jackie we missed you, but we will see you next time I hope.

No group to my knowledge. I know that there is a get together sometimes in or around the Seattle area. I missed the last one. :'(

Hi from Vancouver, WA, formerly from Portland. I haven't yet made it to the local support group....seems like something else conflicts with the meetings every time they have one. I do hope to make it to one eventually.

I hope this rumor is true. The forum is a wonderful resource for AN patients and their families and we need to spread the word.
