Title: EYE STILL SWOLLEN AFTER EYELID WEIGHT PUT IT. IS THIS NORMAL?

I HAD A PLATINUM EYELID WEIGHT PUT IN IN JAN. 08 ABOUT 6 WEEKS AGO. THE EYELID IS STILL PUFFY AND SWOLLEN. IS THIS NORMAL? WHEN DOES THE SWELLING GO AWAY? SOME DAYS ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

I had a gold weight, but it did NOT stay swollen any more than a week or two...I bet Nancy can give you more insight!

I have that same problem - some days the swelling is better than others too - I had the platinum chain put in 11/20/07.  I don't have the red
area on the upper lid though, so I don't think this is an allergic reaction.  I think I'm just 'sensitive' to anything 'unnatural' in my body.
I'm going to ask the eye surgeon in March when I see him why my eyelid is still a bit swollen.
I was allergic to the gold weight - I had swelling (more than I do with the platinum) & a red spot on the upper lid right over where the weight was.
