Title: Nervous....Friday Sept 28th going to see specialist again

Getting little nervous on Friday I'm going to see Dr Pyle at UW Hospital in Madison WI.  Since this the first time seeing the specialist since they found the tumor about three months ago I'm very scared.  Nervous if it has grown, if he will keep me on watch and wait status, or if he will want to remove it.  Nervous because should I go for a another opinion to House Clinic or Chicago Ear Institue.  I just feel so nervous and scared.  I know my tumor is not that large but I'm still worried.  Thanks for listening.

Feeling nervous and scared are both normal reactions.  Lots of us on this forum have been through these emotions; you're in good company.  Having an AN, deciding on a treatment option, recovering, etc., is very stressful.  Hopefully the specialist will have something positive to say.

If you do decide to get a second opinion, I highly recommend Chicago Ear.  Dr. Wiet and Dr. Battista (my doc) are both very experienced and both highly qualified.  Their office staff is wonderful, and the other docs they work with (neurosurgeon and radiation oncologist) are exceptional.  If you haven't had a chance to check out their website, you might find it helpful (www.chicagoear.com)
