Title: Radiologist expertise
Post by: georgiaczapiewski on June 15, 2021, 09:40:20 am
I read somewhere that it doesn’t matter if a radiation oncologist has done many acoustic neuromas as all they do is zap tumors.  Any thoughts on that?  Is it important that you go to a doctor that has done many AN’s?

You are talking about cranial nerves that control your hearing, your balance, and facial control.

This is not a shot in the dark and cross your fingers that you hit your target.

You REALLY need the correct doctors, who are experienced in ANs. You need doctors who have LOTS of experience in this procedure. You can have a great outcome with the most experienced people.
