I was recently diagnosed in the last month with a 1.2 x .7 AN in the last 5 weeks.
It is within the IAC and 1-2 mm from the cochlear.
I woke up with 40-60% hearing loss. I was suddenly prescribed 2 weeks of steroids and my hearing returned back to normal.
I have no other symptoms other than mild tinnitus.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
If so, for how long did you maintain your hearing maintain?
Did you try another dose? and if so, did it work again?
What treatment did you decide?

I hadn't lost my hearing, but was having vertigo and awful issues with my balance. I tried one round of Prednisone and it really helped. I haven't had a reason to need it again yet, but I thought it might help you to know it worked for someone else with a different issue.
