I had my surgery a little over 2 years ago. Lately, on occasion, I experience an odd thing happening with my saliva glands. If I taste an orange for example, it overly produces a lot of saliva and I have that sour sensation in my mouth for hours after. It is on the surgery side so my question is can this surgery effect your taste or saliva glands? Also, I seem to not always have a great taste in my mouth almost like a post nasal drip but no drip!
Thank you!

The facial nerve looks after the front 2/3rds of the tongue's taste, among many other things. Any trauma to the facial nerve could affect taste on one side of the tongue for the front 2/3rds. I don't know about saliva glands.
