Has anyone gone to a rehab facility after AN surgery because there is no one at home to take care of you? If so, how long did you stay in rehab before going home? What exactly did they do to help you?

I would think the hospital social workers will take into consideration that you have no one to take care of you and will make appropriate adjustments to your care. Or am I being naive? Nineteen years ago they sent me to a rehab facility, yet I had tons of support.

Thanks for the input. I was told that the doctors and social workers will assess my condition and help me out

I'm thinking this will be my scenario, too, Pbellovin. Rehab for a time.

Hi All,
Curious how this turned out? Were there other options? Or is it still pending?

Hey there! After my AN surgery, I found myself in a similar spot. No one at home to assist, so I opted for rehab. I was in a rehab center (https://www.virtuerecoverychandler.com/) in Chandler, AZ, and they were a great help for me there! Stayed for two weeks. They did daily physical therapy, provided medication management, and offered emotional support. It was invaluable, helping me regain strength and independence. If you're thinking about it, I'd say go for it. Good luck with the post-operation therapy!
