Title: The Co-Morbidity Post Radiation
Post by: daoisthere on October 16, 2017, 01:13:36 pm
I see many threads concerning members that have had significant radiation at some point in their lives.  Some posts even sight well known researchers that have sited Radiation Therapy in the past as a probable cause of overgrowth of schwann cells... Hence, acoustic neuromas.

I personally have had multi post co-morbid conditions as a result of full body radiation.  Of course I am curious if my past has visited me with this AN.

As life would have it's way,  I am currently considering getting tooth implants and the bone grafts needed for the implants.  The Cancer Group here has suggested that the radiation splatter that occurred 27 years ago should not have significant influence.

I am not convinced that this is correct.  I have a certain amount of doubt with respect to their advice.  Is this a question that I can ask the group?  Are my doubts justified? Tooth implants? Bone Grafts? Am I just crazy in doing this?

Peace,
Daoisthere

I'm not quite sure what you're asking.  Are you concerned the bone grafts won't be successful do to the previous radiation you've had?
