Title: How much is Gamma Knife at N.Y. Presbyterian?

Does anyone know how much New York Presbyterian Hospital charges for Gamma Knife? My co-pay for radiation therapy is 20% but for surgery, it is 25%. I have Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield Mediblue HBO and my maximum out-of-pocket amount for the year is $6,800. I just want to know ahead of time what my share is going to be.

I can't help you out in today's dollars but, I think my GK at UPMC was pushing 50 - 60 thousand dollars and that was 8 years ago.  :(

You should come to Australia where it costs $25,000 for GK in a private institution and, if you're an Australian, you get $20,000 of that from the universal health care. In the public system, its free.

In Mexico City is about 20 000 USD in a private hospital. Where do you live?

I should add that is $25,000 AUD, which is about $20,000 USD.
