Title: Memory Loss Post Surgery & CFL Prevention
Post by: Sailfish on August 19, 2017, 03:58:43 pm
I just read that because the brain is compensating for hearing loss and balance that memory loss is a symptom.  Is that a given?

What can be done to reduce risk of CFL?  Extra rest and less activity for 7-10 after hospital release?  Is there a timeline for this to happen?  At what point post surgery if you've not had CFL can you feel confident that it won't happen.

Hey there, I am not sure if it is a "given" but it was true for me. I was on steroids a longggg time and my memory was terrible. I am still having some minor issues but much better. For your second question, my experience was I leaked 5 days post op with nothing more than slight walking. So it may leak just because, but I am sure if you over exert, that can't be good either.
