Title: How soon did anyone start to fly after radiosurgery
Post by: Elsy on October 25, 2016, 08:42:10 am
Dear all,

I had GK for a 3cm acoustic neuroma in July. My 3 month MRI showed necrosis but swelling all around my tumor. My neurosurgeon says that since I am not having headaches, dizziness or unsteadiness, it should be safe for me to fly?
I am nervous when I see the swelling...how did anyone else handle flight travel?

Interested to hear, thanks
Elsy

I don't remember anyone here that had trouble flying after GK, could have been.   I think most people could fly immediately after their treatment.

I had CK in Germany and flew 30 hours back to Australia the day after treatment. No problems

Dear Paul and Rupert,

Thanks for the reassuring news.

This is just for a hoilday, and got a little spooked by all the brain swelling around my treated AN...

All my thanks,
Elsy

Four months after GK I flew to Europe without any problems.
