Hi, I don't post often but,
thought I would share my 1 year MRI update with you all. Good news, it has gotten smaller!! My first MRI done back in June 2005 when we discovered "it", the measurements were 15mm x 25mm x 17 mm left side and against the pons. Had Cyberknife done in Oct 2005 at Barrows (awesome Drs Daspit, Kresl and Porter); and 6 month MRI to follow in Apr 2006. "It" measured 19mm x18mm x 19mm with some darkening in the center. Now at 1 year Oct 2006, "it" measures 10mm x 17mm x 12mm! So I am very excited with these results, I still have to go for a hearing test, I did have slight hearing loss in that left ear and I still have tinnitus (which can be annoying at times). Just to note, the first doctor I saw did not even consider radiation for me; I did some personal research (internet, library etc), read many posts here and found doctors that could give me unbiased recommendations for how to contend with "it".
Thanks to all for sharing your experiences and knowledge it has been a blessing for me.
Cheers,
Sue (Las Vegas)

Sue,
You brought me to happy tears! Congrats, congrats to you! I love hearing all the CK success stories (you, shoegirl, Mark, etc) as it helps me to maintain mental strength as I go through this waiting period as well (next MRI in February -- 10 month post treat).
I'm feeling a celebration coming on! Congrats to you and continued wellness!!!!!!!!!!
*jumps for joy for Sue, trips over dog* dang it! ;)

Thanks for your update. This is encouraging news. I completed my CK 10/18; so far minimal side effects (difficult to know what may be side effects and what are the normal ups and downs of the AN symtoms). Its great to hear the reports from those of you who are farther along in post treatment.

;D Suze - how absolutely wonderful. I don't post often but just had to add my congratulations!! You should post on the Cyberknife board as they are always interested in such a great result - www.cyberknifesupport.org. Keep us posted and hopefully you'll continue decreasing the size of this bugger.

Hi Sue,
Such wonderful news! This is so encouraging to hear such great results. As a 3-month old postie, this is giving me hope!!!
I notice you are in Las Vegas. Being in San Diego, I am thinking we ought to have the West Coast get together sometimes!! I am sure many of us would love to gather in Las Vegas for a brunch like the Worcester gatherings that Phyl is organizing.... Hmmmmmm.... This is giving me ideas... 8) Any interests from those West Coast ANers for a get together?
