Title: Going today for Cyber Knife !

Hi Everyone,

This is it. Today I will take my Cyber Knife mask and have one big shot of radiation to hopefully kill this trouble maker tumor. I couldn't sleep well last night just thinking about it. ::)  I just hope I can lay still enough for 45 minutes without my nose itching!!  :) Please send some positive thoughts and prayers my way.

Positive thoughts and prayers for you!

See if they can give you a diazepam or similar.  I don't know anything about radiosurgery, but I do know 5mg of that stuff and you won't worry about anything for 8-12 hours.  Laying still will be easy too since it really takes the edge off of you.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for your good thoughts and prayers! The actual Cyber Knife treatment was a piece of cake. The only thing that bothered me was my bad back from having to lay there for 50 minutes without moving. When it ended I got up and felt fine for about an hour. Going home I developed a whopping earache/headache. It lasted for many hours even though I took Advil several times. This morning I feel okay and headache is gone. Tinnitus is about the same as before.  :) I hope it stays that way but I may be too optimistic before it's all said and done. I will touch base every once in a while to keep you posted on anything.
