Title: Hemifacial spasm 18 months out from GK

Posting for my mother who has AN on the right. Her original symptoms from the AN were severe episodes of vertigo. Had gamma knife treatments in Fall 2014 at UCLA (Dr. Isaac Yang) and vertigo resolved. For the past 6 weeks, beginning after a place flight from Europe to US, hemifacial spasms on the right side began. Started as 3-4 per day, now she says they happen more times than she can count and are very uncomfortable. She has not been able to see Dr. Yang yet but neurologist put her on carbamazepine which stopped spasms but made her extremely sick. MRI showed AN had grown some since treatment. Anyone have a similar experience?

Hi - I am new to the group and just read the post.  I am having a similar issue.  May I ask what the outcome was?
