Title: New BAHA model?
Post by: Bellium on May 03, 2016, 06:10:08 am
In one of the FaceBook groups that I'm a part of, one of the members said he recalls getting an email from Cochlear about a BAHA upgrade coming out this year or next. But he did t have the email any more. Anyone know if this is true/ have info? Thanks!

I just got off cochlear's web site, the BAHA 5 Power And BAHA 5 Super Power have been released. They will allow 55db and 65db sound levels respecfully.

The BAHA5 was released by Cochlear about a year ago - which was when I upgraded.  It's phenomenal.  It replaced the BP100.

As Necromancer said, Cochlear recently released the BAHA5 Power and the BAHA5 Super Power.  They are stronger models than the BAHA5, which is typically for those who have "normal" hearing in their "good" ear.  The Power and the Super Power would be comparable to upgrades for the old Cochlear Intenso - generally worn by those who have diminished hearing in their "good" ear.

Your level of hearing determines which Cochlear BAHA would work best for you.
