Sorry I can't answer your specific question, but the ANA site has a "Physicians Directory" that you may find useful in your search:
https://www.anausa.org/resources/medical-resources/physicians-directory (https://www.anausa.org/resources/medical-resources/physicians-directory)

Johns Hopkins is near to you and has Drs experienced in treating AN.  I ultimately was treated elsewhere, but I consulted with, and was impressed by Hopkins' Dr.s Francis (http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/profiles/results/directory/profile/0005174/howard-francis (http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/profiles/results/directory/profile/0005174/howard-francis)) and Tamargo (http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/profiles/results/directory/profile/0000358/rafael-tamargo?CLEARPAGECACHE=false&appRedirRef=https%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Egoogle%2Ecom%2F (http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/profiles/results/directory/profile/0000358/rafael-tamargo?CLEARPAGECACHE=false&appRedirRef=https%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Egoogle%2Ecom%2F)).

Take care!

I live in the DC area and visited a few doctors in the area: 1) Dr Eisenman at UMD 2) Hopkins - Dr Francis and Dr Brem. I actually had surgery scheduled at Hopkins, but then with further research and talking to other patients on this discussion board as well as the DC support group, I decided to go out to House Clinic in LA.

Have you sent your MRI there for a free consult? I strongly recommend doing that. I had Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Friedman (who has now moved onto USC), who were beyond amazing!

My tumor was 9mm, and I had Middle Fossa back in April 2013. They completely saved my hearing, no facial damage, and no balance issues whatsoever!

I wish I would have seen this post a few days ago - we just had the DC support group this past weekend. It is a great resource.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I went to Dr. Kalhorn at Georgetown but for corrections after the Hopkins surgery.   I also went to Dr. Schwartz at GW for another attempt at correction after the Hopkins surgery.    He did say he does ANs at GW and I think highly of him.
I know Tod did well at VCU down in Richmond and another friend did well at UVA in Charlottesville.    One member here also is doing fine and running marathons after her surgery at UMD in Baltimore.

I went to Dr. Feldman who diagnosed me in one visit.

Healing hugs to you and best wishes in your decisions.
