Title: 12/7 Nerve Transfer

I had a 12/7 nerve transfer done 9/17/14; 364 days after AN removal.  The transfer was not able to be done because the facial nerve had atrophied.  Had HIGH hopes for this surgery. What are my options now?

Hi chessy, talk to your doctor or find an otorinolaringologist. There are many facial reanimation surgeries you can do to get movement back including muscle transfers. There are options out there! Im having a 12/7 transfer early next year that will be 6 months post op. Im kinda scared because im not sure how much it would help considering the size of my AN which was already near 5cm!
