Title: Windmill / Turbines
Post by: Lynn Mc on July 24, 2013, 06:09:56 am
Just wondering if anyone has had to deal with windmill/turbines close to their home?  What if any issues do you have.

Thanks,
Lynn

Hi Lynn;
   Yes, 10s of thousands of acres N. of here. Iowa farmers lease a bit of ground for these and farm just around them. A few were pretty, but now, they are dizzy making to me!
   It is said by the Ntl. Audubon Society that wind generators are disorienting to birds on their migration pathways.
   One wind generator alone doesn't produce much electricity, so, it takes 100s to 1000s. Whatever happened to solar panels?

They are talking about putting up several within a 1/4 mile of my home.  Read about all the things they have been reported to cause.  Concerned about my already wonky head!  Really like the idea of solar!!!

I still believe solar is better way to generate power.. It is far more easy to install and have better scope too.
