Title: Post Radiosurgery Headaches? When did they start?
Post by: Nannybee on July 03, 2013, 09:23:38 pm
My Radiosurgery was on April 26 and have had increasing headache frequency since, but very bad and constant for the past 4 days. Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Tylenol, Percocet, ice, sleep, nothing is touching it.
They warned me about swelling after treatment and to call if any changes in headache character or frequency, so I guess this is it.
My neurosurgeon is out of town, so I'll be seeing the radiation oncologist on Friday. I have a feeling steroids are in my future. ( I also have the meningiomas taking up space inside my skull too )
Anyone have similar experience post radiation and how was the steroid treatment?
Thanks so much.

Hi
No Tx, but steroid leaves many wired. I don't know the size or location of your AN, but hydrocepholous is another possibility. Do you have a temp?
One thing about long term pain relievers used regularly is the potential for a rebound pain effect between doses.

I had no problems w/steroid rounds I have taken, except initially get a little wired as the dosage ramps up.
