carried over from a different thread:

Katie, I need a pick me up as well and I tend to do better when I'm focused, organizing something, so....

Time to announce the next N.E. ANA Forum Gang Brunch! YAY! :)

Was thinking Mid-Oct to early November.....

For those that would like to attend, was thinking of a Sat am brunch so CrazyKat/Paul's lovely Jody can join us (as she is involved with her church on Sunday am's). If Sunday is better, and with enough notice, maybe Jody can make arrangements to join us.

So, if you have plans already established for that timeframe, please advise here so we can work around it.  Maxwell's Sunday brunch (in Worcester) worked marvelously and for the money, to me, was well worth it.  (Plus, we can harrass the omlet table chef again!)

Peanut, we can work arrangements to help get you to whereever we decide to go. Arrangements are made to help ensure all can "hear" during the brunch. 

AND, if anyone is planning on traveling to this region (hey, where's Dale and that drivable ship of his?) for Fall Foiliage or Haunted Happenings in Salem, please ..... we'd love to have you join us! :)

Regardless of which day or where, so looking forward to seeing everyone again... esp. before the holidays and... that miserable 4-letter word... ugh...snow!

So, if you are interested in attending... please note here and what day of weekend works best and/or dates.

Believe it or not, I already have plans for Oct 28 (Sat.).  I can't believe how quickly my weekends get booked up these days!  Insanity, I tell ya.  But  all other dates are open.

The first weekend of November is not good for me. I have a weekend gig up in Solon, ME at the Solon Hotel!! YeeeeeHaaaaaa!!
First week of hunting season. Up there it's a big deal!

The first weekend of October is out as well. On vaykay, driving down to Florida and back. How's the second weekend in Rocktober sound? Or the third week? That way, it doesn't interfere with Katie's 28th.

Hi Patty, I did a mapquest to see Kingston.  Let me ask you this.  I believe there are 2 optons.  How long is the drive on I-87 north to I-90?  JcinMA (if she can make it) lives over the MA border and it took her just over an hour  or so to drive to Worcester.  Then, JoeF is in CT and maybe meet up with him if you head south and pick up I-84.  I think it took JoeF a couple of hours (both of them can better elaborate).  Would love to have you join us! :)

I know were Kingston is! Ive been there before... and I would say its gonna be about 3 hours ... and yes, I could met you on the Mass Pike at maybe Springfield,MA  would be about half way.

Another believe it or not - I have two Open Houses on 10/22 for Kindergartens we're looking at for my oldest for next year (although he really was born just yesterday!!!!).  Assuming I'm feeling up for it, of course.  I'm free on the 19th, but that is the weekend right before Thanksgiving - don't know if that's a conflict for anyone else.

It's hard to find a date that works for everyone.  Thanks for trying, Phyl!  We may just have to end up with a "majority rules" situation!

I was trying to keep Oct 15 open for a "certain" reason but for you all, I've opened it up.

Well, I've done the ride from Boston to Montreal (gawd, I LOVE Montreal!) and it isn't all that bad but may be a bit much.  How about this... next time I am in Montreal, you are the first one I look up! :)

This is Patti from the Kingston area.  I cannot come for a good reason-I decided to travel with my mother to Ireland to see family!!!  I have alwys wanted to travel with her and I decided to do it before she gets too old to travel.  We all know how precious every day is and I don't want to put it off any longer.  Thanks for the invitation.

Hi Everyone!! I am still planning to have brunch with you at Maxwell's Nov 19--so please add me to your list!! It will be so nice to meet everyone.

I had an Oct 19 app't w/Dr Noren (NE Gamma Knife, Providence, RI) and my AN is growing again but slowly (it's only 9.3 mm) so he said if I wanted to wait until Jan that'd be okay... He spent almost 1 1/2 hrs w/my son and I--I was impressed with the MAN--he was gracious and so down-to-earth. I think he truly enjoys his work and people.

So anyway, gotta run now but count me in--Talk to ya all later!!!

Hi all,

Well, Maxwell's is ready for us again!  Got us a round table and set off from everyone else (like last time) so we can "hear" each other better.  I don't know if Bill (the elderly owner) or if the carving board dude can handle us again! :)

Hi everyone!! Just got home from my first brunch at Maxwell Silverman's (went shopping after in Worc area) and I had a great time!! it was so wonderful to meet everyone--I gave Phyl and extra hug from Kathy of Minnesota (Orbit). I have known Sue's sister for ten years and only recently learned Sue had an AN--imagine!--Katie looks amazing only 7 weeks post-op! Jane and I had alot in common as she had a re-occurence and had surgery twice and radiation. Ellen had Gamma Sept 22 and says she feels better now than before treatment--Ellen brought her adorable one-year-old son who is such a good baby!! And it was nice talking with Joe and Paul as well. It was very therapeutic to me as I am dealing with re-occurence so my journey continues... Pictures were taken inside and outside so we will all be eagerly awaiting seeing them!!  I look forward to the next get-together and thank you, Phyl for organizing this!!!  Talk to ya all soon!  Everyone have a great turkery day!!  Regards, Mary from MA. ;D

I took a bunch of pics but no way to post them. Joe, can I send them to you?

  We had a great time and the food was excellent! I made the mistake of not sleeping the night before because of a late gig. On top of not sleeping, I'd contracted a mild case of the flu after receiving a flu shot last Monday. Needless to say, I've been wiped out today, even after sleeping for 12 hours. The damned tinnitus is roaring to the point of vibrating the side of my head.
  My girlfriend wants me to spend the winter in Florida with her. I just may do it. Only problem is, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool New Englander. (Ich bin ein New Englander!!!)

well, folks, I have to say what a lovely time had...

The carving board/omelet man certainly remembered me and well... let's just say this... what a sense of humor he has... he even one-upped me while making Jane's omelet! Touche to him.  Bill, our host, was once again so accommodating... another great visit to Maxwells.

As for the NE AN gang, what the heck do I say?  Joe, you look great and glad you got out of the "honey-do" list from your wife!!  Yoga Sue, you wook marwelous and can't wait to hear about possible yoga moves for me... Jane, my Bevedere Bloody Mary sista-in-crime, you look awfully lethal driving that MacTruck of your's!  Katie... I'm in awe!  9 weeks post surgery and you'd never know it! Love the retro 80's haircut!  Ellen, you look fab and can see you are doing great (baby was awesome again.. he's such a flirt).  Mary, our newbie to the brunch, I am so thrilled you were able to join us and what a pleasure to meet you.

I can tell you this... my car got lousy gas mileage on the ride home since we over-indulged and I had me and Paul in the car... the car dragged along the highway. Remind me to check the tire air pressures now!

What a great way to spend a Sunday am... I want to thank everyone for making the rides in for the brunch, for being such lovely folks, for the huggles and the jokes and the harrassment of staff (Jane, you 2 fisted coffee drinker, I GET the caffeinated, you get the decaf, silly!) and hope that next Spring's brunch, I'll be able to bring the cheeky bloke with me.

Sorry this took so long to post!  I've been busy trying to pre-cook stuff for dinner tomorrow while not stepping on the two little scallywags who thing they're helping!  LOL! 

I had a great time at brunch.  It was so wonderful to see everyone again, and to meet Mary.  I'm just thankful the tender didn't sink, being meant for roads and all.
