Title: Trouble seeing or balance in the dark?
Post by: alabamajane on October 05, 2012, 01:21:36 pm
For those who need night lights and have balance issues in the dark,,, I saw these reading glasses called Lightspecs by Foster Grant at my sister- in-law's,,, they aren't new so you may know about them,, I did not . Anyway they are regular reading glasses but they have a small LED light on each side of the lenses at the temple,,you turn them on with little switch on each side. Very bright lights!!

They are sold at drugstores for about $24.95 a pair,, I thought they were pretty cool actually,, you can use them in restaurants and for night reading etc.

Anyway,, just wanted to pass that along,,,may be helpful to someone!!  :o. Jane
Not sure they would help with the balance issue or be a distraction,,,they look like airplane landing lights.  ;D

Hi Jane,

Thanks for letting us know about the glasses.  I got a puppy for Christmas last year and he's now very big and needs to be walked a lot.  The glasses would come in handy as the days grow shorter, it's hard to walk him and hold a flashlight.  I would think the balance issue would go away as one got use to the light.  Jill 8)

Yes! The brighter the better and I've written this without even having a look at what the frames look like.  I have a shocker in the dark with shadows leaping at me from all corners of the room at times.

I'm off to find images of them on Google.

I'm back already - they are quite cool and up-to-date.

Thanks for the information.

They also have ball caps with those lights that shine from the bill.  My son and his friend have them.  I believe we purchased them at d***'s Sporting Goods.  I think the hat would work for walking the dog at night.
