God this wait sucks I know it has only been 10 days 3 months is going to be an eternity. :'( My buddy who got his hearing aids yes aids as in two says that he can hear so much better since he got them.He just has loss of hear in both hears not SSD so regular aids help him. Its funny because sometimes he takes them out when I talk because I talk loud of course I do not know that so I can not what to get my Divino it suck to have to wait 3 months. I have been deaf for over 32 yrs and this fells longer. :'( Just thought I would vent :)

Venting is acceptable - and highly recommended in some instances ;)
Waiting for your BAHA Gotcha Day is tough - but you can stick it out.

Hi Jan got you Pic very nice is that the brown Divino thats is the color I order. ;D

I am anxious for my processor, too. I think the hardest part is when I run into people who knew I had the surgery, and they say "So you can hear now!".
Then I have to explain that it won't be for a few months.

I get the same thing

You know it's funny that way.
Most people ask you immediately after the surgery if you can now hear. And then about six months later they totally forget you have a BAHA. I've had many people say to me "Oh, I didn't know you were half-deaf" ::)
Yes, I have the brown Divino, Mike. Glad you liked the link to my pictures.

I know how hard it is to wait for the processor. Three months seems like an eternity -- especially if, like me, it is already in your possession. My doc gave it to me in the recovery room on the day of my surgery. I contented myself by reading the small amount of information it came with and playing with the test rod. The idea of attaching it to my abutment was very tempting but nor worth the possible consequences so I behaved myself. I'm excited for you -- I know you will be very happy on your BAHA Gotcha Day!

I am glad the Dr. did not give it to me they have it so when the Dr. releases me then I will see the audiologist soI am glad I did not get it or it might be put on my head ;D lol. Just like a kid playing with something that he should not be. :P

I'm with you, Mike.
My doc either knows me too well, or he just routinely holds onto everyone's processor for 3 months. If I had it in my possession, I would have been WAY too tempted to try it out.
I don't know how Wendy avoided temptation for so long. She's a better woman than I am ;) ;D

You know I was tempted -- every time I thought about putting the processor on I pictured my abutment getting pulled out of my head when I took it off -- that stopped me cold!

Now there's one visual that would stop me cold also :o
Good way to deal with the temptation, Wendy. Very clever ;D
