It's been awhile since I logged on but I wanted to share the good news! My 18 month MRI shows areas of necrosis, and "overall minimal decrease in size". I hoped for necrosis, but the decrease in size came as a pleasant surprise.
Plus, my hearing test was identical to the one taken when I was first diagnosed around two years ago. My radiologist is happy, and so am I! It's kinda nice to get good news, isn't it?

Hi Betsy!
That is great news!!!! You have to be ecstatic. Re-growth has been a pretty recurring topic lately on the forum - a very scary possibility in the AN world, and something that is always in the back of my mind. It is so good to read about necrosis and reduction - I am very happy for you. Maintaining your hearing is icing on the cake!! Go do the happy dance! You deserve it...

Congratulations, Betsy!
As someone who would strongly consider radiation treatment, if necessary, this is wonderful!
My best wishes to you and your family!
Sincerely,
Sue
