Yes, I, too, have some numbness in the side of my tongue that is making it difficult to enunciate.
Wishing you the best,
Nancy

Hi reg:   Before I had the T3 surgery(which corrected the slurred speech issue),  I would have to hold up my paralyzed side with my hand when talking, especially toward the end of the work day.   Hopefully you will get movement back (?).
Always good thoughts,  Nancy

I have slurred speech, however I can't detect it myself....it's very strange. If I listen to my message on either my cell or home phone I sound awful.....like drunk awful. My sister-in- law recently told me "Sis change your message....you sound bad" When I listened it WAS awful....I was so embarrased. My youngest son, often asks me when he calls ...."Mom...have you had to much wine?" It is a terrible feeling because I don't hear it that way at all when I am talking. It is bad enough to walk like I am drunk but to sound like it too! Geeeez! Another question to be answered.

Because of numbness I find it very difficult to speak properly.  Depending on how "swollen" my tongue and gums feel, it can be very hard work to speak.  Haven't thought about speech therapy but if it doesn't resolve I may go that route.  Hang in there.

You're a month ahead of me, so if yours goes away, mine had better follow shortly after.
