In all seriousness, you're right Steve. It is about quality. And it's about sharing and caring and all the other great things this family does. I'm happy to a part of it and proud to be a member of this family.
It would be interesting to see a graph showing average number of daily posts, say by month or something similar. I bet it's been a pretty steady climb.
As for the prize, how about we just flood the winner with PM's of congratulations! Then the winner would have to spend a good chunck of their day sending out "thank you" PM's :)
Ernie
I'm doing my part to get to 100,000 ;D
Hey, Scott -
it's been a while. How are you??
Jan
and the winner of the 100,000th post? maybe they'll get a hat!
Phyl -- Would Judy be interested in hearing this?
*pssst, hey Steve... since JoeF is the "Quick Draw McGraw" with the Mod "delete" button, although the rest of us also tend to enjoy pushing buttons around here as well.... if we have him delete a few here and there... we could roll back the posts count and then, the Mods could put it back to 100k.... whatta thunk? Jim? Joe? ;) :D *

I'll start with the biggest poster.... I wonder who that could be.... ;)
Where are the fireworks?
Congratulations ! What a caring and compassionate group!
Best Wishes--

Are you feeling better or is the shock from Judy's post a setback? ;)
Judy Vitucci is the ANA Director and has earned her stars.
wow! Just 204 more posts from me and I'll break 5000! w00t! :)
(maybe a metallic pink? hint, hint)
The earlier forum was in no way like this. All posts went to your home email which made for busy reading. When I first was planning surgery, there was absolutely no mention of how good life could be post op. I was a basket case. Everyone here had severe problems.
So it took a little over 4 years to hit 100,000. If we write at the same rate, it'll be 2013 by the time we hit 200,000.
Actually it will be 5% (or 1 in 20 posts) but still, that's impressive.

Absolutely, Brian! Or maybe blame it on Ernie instead of hiding behind him? Better yet, blame it on Phyl due to her dizzying number of posts.

I guess I've been in lala land this week. I see we broke 100,000 posts!
Hard to believe we're already coming up on 2000 posts since rolling over the 100,000 mark.
I can be loquacious though.

My goodness, Phyl, it took you eleven days to find that? And you are not up to 5000 posts YET?!
I'd have to say you're slacking, hon.
