Good call on the green, Jan - definitely your color.

Speaking of color, Kay and Lori, any preferences? ;)
Great pic, Jan. Sometimes the post office is quick!

Jan,
Great picture! Now tell us if you were wearing your BAHA with the hat on??!?
Catherine (JerseyGirl2)

Actually I was wearing my BAHA.
The hat stretches very nicely and covered it without a problem.
I'm not sure if it will muffle the sound though; I should have experimented with that.

Steve~
I love the green, but what is the link again to the site with the different colors of yarn?? ;D You're getting addicted, aren't you Steve??

Any of the bulky weight yarns here will work: http://www.knitpicks.com/bulky+weight+knitting+yarn_YL30010107.html
The Cadena yarn in Tide, Leaf, or Cranberry (blue, green, or red) works well. I have tried one in Swish Bulky, a softer yarn with more pastel colors, and it is also nice. I am curious what the multi-color yarn would turn out like. Yes, I am getting hooked. ;)

Ok, first of all, Steve, did you really learn how to do this on the internet?
I was in Walmart (thought of you, Kay!) last week and saw a kit that was called "Teach Yourself to Knit". So, I bought it. I had decided when I moved to Nashville 2 1/2 years ago that I was going to learn something new while I was here. So far, all I've learned is that I had a brain tumor, which wasn't really what I had in mind. So I've been trying to teach myself... I figure at the rate I'm going, I should have myself a nice potholder by the time I get shipped off to the old folks home! James just sits there and laughs at me as I'm yelling at the book - "but my fingers just don't move that way!". Anyway, you may have to run a seminar on knitting at the symposium.
As for colors, I like the Natural - it matches my ski jacket. And the saffron matches my coat.
Ah, my head is getting warm just thinking about it!

Very nice Steve I must say! ;D

Steve, sounds like Lori is going to give you some competition. We'll be selling knit hats at our garage surgery business before you know it ;)
I know it's not my choice, but I can totally see K in a pastel hat; with her blonde hair it would be very attractive.
I'm quite surprised that Lori is going to go with Natural. I figured she'd pick something colorful (like her), maybe bright red, a deep purple, or possibly magenta.
I'll be very interested to see the finished products.

Jan:
It looks good on you.
Steve:
If you sell enough of them before the symposium, we can all wear them to help us find each other. We'll be the ones wearing th knitted hats in the middle of a Chicago summer.

Hmmm... maybe Steve should be using a light weight yarn for summer wear?
And maybe attach a chin strap - Chicago is the Windy City afterall.

Great pic, Jan! Great hat, Steve! Wow!

Steve~
I really like the green, but i would probably have to fight Kendie for it (& I couldn't compete w/ Jan)...I can't decide...I wonder what the "Admiral Blue" is like? I also like the "Blackberry" in the "swish" but it is more expensive - we need to take up a collection to support your new habit that we are all benefitting from!! Really, as I said in the other thread, I'll take anything!!
