I had my 11 month MRI and the swelling has gone down.... ;D but no signs of darkening?
-
Darkening does not always happen. Many times it is observed at around 6 months, but disappears afterwards as scar tissue forms. Its absence doesn't mean that the procedure hasn't worked. So I wouldn't worry about it.

None for me so far, at 15 months out. It can turn red and green for all I care, as long as it doesn't grow. :)

Mindyandy:
I underwent surgery to reduce the size of my tumor and cut off it's blood supply, then went through 26 FSR treatments. My doctor observed necrosis at 6 months and that has continued, as well as some slight tumor shrinkage. However, as we're all different, I doubt there is a firm time-frame for observing necrosis. As Steve stated, 'no growth' is just fine. I agree and would just add that necrosis is even better - but not mandatory. However, I'm sure it will happen eventually.

Small darkened area of necrosis in what appeared to be the center of the tumor on MRI at 7 months post CK.

Hi mindyandy,
Look on page 3 in this section for my post"The Big Black Hole in My Universe" to find some interesting comments about "necrosis"...
