Post by: krbonner on November 23, 2008, 09:33:36 am
Thank you to Cheryl R. for the heads up!

Target is selling Tim Tams in the U.S. (under the Pepperidge Farm name) through March 2009!  I've been looking in all my local ones, but they've always been out of stock.   :'(  But I'm not giving up.  I WILL FIND THEM!!!!!  These have now hit pregnancy-craving status for me and are a must have!  LOL!

Katie

That's great!  I don't think I've even heard mention of the Tim Tams since the 70's on Myrtle Beach.  Looks like I may have to do some searching.

Katie -

I had no clue what a Tim Tam was until I looked at your link.  Hope you find some soon - they sound delicious.

Also, don't know how I missed this one, but I see congratulations are in order.  Baby #3 due in April  ;D  You must be thrilled  ;D

Am I reading your signature line correct?  Are you expecting another boy?

Sorry for the hijack,

Jan

I've never heard of them either - Jan, I guess this means we're not old!   ;D  They do sound really good though - I'll be on the lookout for them.

And Katie - congratulations to you!  How exciting!  Hope you're feeling well - aside from the Tim Tam craving!

Hope your boys are excited about the new baby coming!  Ugh...having two older brothers sounds rough to me!   :D

Tim Tams were a BIG topic of conversations around these boards (and fuel for the PBW!) about when I was recovering from my surgery.  They're Australian (chocolate dipped chocolate cookies, but so much more than just that!) and are somewhat hard to locate in the U.S.  But I got hooked on them, and was so happy when Cheryl pointed out that they're available in Target now!

As for my impending arrival, we don't know if it's boy or girl and won't until birth day.  I'm a bit over half-way cooked and finally feeling good, though I don't expect that to last!  LOL!  My 6yo is very excited because he gets a new, bigger bedroom out of the whole deal!  Otherwise, they're both rather non-nonplussed by the whole thing.  Though that will probably change when a screaming baby invades the house and takes up all my time!   ::)

Yeah, Katie!          You got some!         I did find more the other day too so they might even be a Christmas present for a few relatives.            My other like this time of year is Sees candy which has a booth at a mall till Xmas.      I do give some gifts of those.

You are too funny Capt Deb!

Katie - I think it's great you are not finding out the sex! My little boy is two months old now and he was a surprise too :) it makes the best gift!

Enjoy those Tim Tams. I got some at Target about two weeks ago... 6 boxes to be exact. I'm happy to say they are all gone although my butt isn't all that happy about it :(.

Katie -

If I can no longer button my pants, I'm blaming it all on you!  I found the Tim Tams in Target....oh....was that a mistake.  Those are, hands down, the best cookies I've ever had - and believe me, I've had a lot of cookies!  I couldn't even wait until I got home to try them,  so I figured I'd just have one in the car - I had to force myself to stop eating them because I wanted my husband to try them.

So, either they have to continue selling them here, or I'll be forced to move to Australia (which wouldn't be so bad...).   ;D

Lori--As Laz sez "TimTams are best eaten from the freezer." Best not too eat too many of them in the car on the way home or ye'll never be able to fit fat butt into the freezer!!  Hope you got one of them big chest type freezers in the garage like I do-- that's where I like to hide out and eat mine!!
