Jason- I had swelling on the outside of my incision and neck. Turned out it was an allergic reaction to the antibiotic ointment they used. :-[luv2teachsped

Jason- Not sure how long I had the swelling.  My incision took a long time to heal. At 5 months post op, I finally went back to my ENT because it wasn't healing.  I had an absess in the incision, where after he dug around in it, found a few tiny hairs(where I had my hair cut).  I had to continue to wash it with peroxide twice a day for another month or so. Stupid me, I THOUGHT the nurse said I COULD put neosporin but not bacitracin on it. She obviously said NOT to put either on it. You guessed it, It swelled all up again.  So much for your good ear compensating for the AN ear! ;)luv2teach

Hi,
I had swelling on the sutures, which turned out to be
that the suture hole filled with oily junk and became abcessed
it was a mess and leaked for 3 days, I used Hydrogen peroxide to keep it
clean and sterile.
