Hi fellow ANers,
I hope everyone is doing well.
I have a question about flying. Did any of you that had CK have problems with pressure/pain when flying and were you told not to for a period of time?
I am still dealling with balance/dizziness and some pressure.
Also did the barometric pressure bother you?
Thanks for all the support I have gotten from this forum. It has been a life saver for me.

sorry Jim,
I didn't realize you moved this once... I thought I just forgot to post it.

I flew home from the Bay Area in California to Portland, OR, a 1 hour flight, about 2 days after my last CK treatment. No problem.
Sometimes the pressure change bothers people, but it bothers people without ANs too. There isn't a general rule against flying after CK, anyway. I think it is generally not a problem, although you might feel fatigued or bothered by it.

Hi Sher :-*
I know of some that flew after CK from S. CA to the Far East/India areas without issue. I know of some CK'ers that have flown up and down the west coast, no issue. I did a long haul flight 8 mos post CK but had minimal issues.
I had the honor to meet Dr. Medbery last month and inquired to him about flying, CK and head pressure. He noted to me that a short does of Decadron for a day or 2 when flying may help with cabin air pressure. He thought maybe it would be helpful, if needed.
Hope that helps.
