Title: on my nerves??

Today i was doing dishes when i got the usuall burning  pain from let side of my shoulder down to shoulder blade down arm then something wierd happened..it felt like little creepy crawlies
all over my shoulder....like if you put your hand on one of those glasss balls w/the lightning inside it.Is this agood thing does it mean the nerves are coming to the surface?any one ever had this??

This is exactly what is going on in my face.  Doctor says it is the nerves regenerating so perhaps it will resolve for both of us.  (Cautiously optimistic.)

from what I've read on the forum, twinges and weird sensations are generally a good thing; they usually signify nerve regeneration.

Thanks Jan.  I'm now at the three-month mark and was hoping for more improvement than I've had.  I'm working on medication (which isn't working on me) and alternatively, alcohol (kidding).
 :P

What is it they say about one step forward, two steps back? That is definitely what it feels like at times.  I still wake up and smile just to make sure I can, but also to remind myself what a miracle it is to still be here. I fight the negative "what if this is what it will feel like forever" with "what if I weren't here to complain about it".  Seems to work well enough.

my dr. told me that the zappers,zingers,etc are the nerves firing,very good sign..

Fire way is right..today it felt like someone holding a lighter to my thumbnail..good thing this forums here w/ halloween coming & all.

Lately it's been my tongue burning.  Like when you eat something that is too hot?  Except it's like that all the time except for night when it gets worse. If your pain continues you might want to think about drugs.  They haven't helped me yet but I'm still experimenting.

i am currently on Tramadol,Lorazepam some patch for nausea occasional darvecett/flexiril.Any thing i should ask for?Open for suggestions.Willing to eat &drink anything to just feel better! ;D

Yup..everyday i open my mouth stick out my tongue move it back n forth....get the flash light & glasses se if i can see whats going on in there...it would be really funny w/ 2 way
