Title: Swelling in the sutured eyes after T3
Post by: prabakaran on September 10, 2008, 10:29:22 pm
Hi,

I have the T3 done in the month of June.  Now I have reached US for a project work. Suddenly I could see
a small swelling iover the area where the suture for the eye lid is put. The swelling is soft to touch, just like air accumulated inside.
The swelling is not painful, not reducing, not growing also. I am bit worried about the same.

Is there anything that someone could suggest.

Cheers,
Praba.

Praba -

it's been a while since we've heard from you.  Sounds like you're doing well, despite the swelling.

Nancyann and Kaybo both had T3 surgery, so I'm hopeful one of them will be along shortly to answer your question.

In the meantime I just wanted to say hi  :)

Praba~
Where are you in the US??

Also, I'm not sure I understand what this suture is for - the actual T3 doesn't involve the eye (my understanding).  I had a new weight put in at the same time - did you have a weight put in at the time of that surgery??

Hi there Praba:  I was wondering the same thing as K, are you talking about an incision where a weight was implanted in the upper lid ?
If so, then it sounds like maybe a fluid buildup ?  Does the swelling go down during the day ?   Is the area reddened or warm/hot to the touch ?

I suggest you see an opthalmologist, better safe than sorry I always say (I'm always calling my eye doc when anything unusual happens).

Other than that,  how's the T3 coming along ?   Been about 3 months ?

Always good thoughts,   Nancy
