So in the middle of a really rotten day in which I woke up at 5 a.m. to drive 2 hours to my parents' house to help my mom clean up their incredibly cluttered house so that my dad who just had heart surgery can come home from rehab, I went to the bathroom and wrinkled my nose in frustration at much more than the way I looked. (Sorry for that run-on sentence, but that's about the way the day felt.) Anyway, when I wrinkled my nose, THE LEFT SIDE MOVED! I have real live genuine bona fide movement on the left side of my face! Just a tiny one, but I'll take it.

Sara,
My kids hate when I say this....but I'll say it to you.............."I TOLD YOU SO!"
Your picture was showing signs of improvement that you can't see because you see yourself everyday and may not know what to look for! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO excited for you. I knew it would happen for you.
(don't get discouraged if it doesn't do it often or if things are still for awhile....it seems to go in cycles.)
Keep the Faith,
Angie

Thanks everyone. Actually the news is even better. I was so excited about my nose yesterday that I didn't even think to check anyplace else. Today I did, and there is also a tiny little movement at the corner of my mouth when I pucker up. Kisses for everyone!

Sara-
That is so wonderful!! My first bit of movement came back under my eye, followed by a little bit at the corner of my mouth. I now have fairly good movement on my entire upper lip. Every little inch of progress is deserving of a celebration - so I am celebrating for you today! Keep us posted on your progress! Speaking for myself, it is very encouraging to hear how other people are doing on the racial recovery road.
Debbi, trying to curl my upper lip :-\

I think it's interesting that Sara wrinkled her nose whilst looking at herself in the mirror. Ah well, never mind, I won't think too hard about it.
YAY SARA ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nothing much to think about really. I was stressed out by circumstances and looked in the mirror and remembered that my face looked lousy on top of everything else, and wrinkled my nose in utter and complete frustration. God has a sense of humor, you know.
