Good morning all. Wanted to post a quick update as I received a terrific report from Stanford on my 1 year MRI.
My tumor has shrunk from its size six months ago (when it was swollen from the effects of Cyberknife) and is now the same size -- or maybe even a bit smaller -- than it was on the date of treatment a year ago. The tumor appears much darker on the MRI films -- a sure sign of necrosis. Excellent news all around.
For the past several weeks, I've had a recurrence of balance episodes. I spoke with Dr. Chang about these symptoms and he reminded me that the tumor is still responding to treatment and that symptoms will generally evolve in the 18 - 24 months after CK treatment.
Overall, the report was very positive. I've provided some more details in the "post-treatment" section of my website below.
Best wishes to all.

Francesco,
Another post of good news, keep 'em coming! It sounds like a good MRI result. Hopefully the balance issue will resolve within the next 6 months - it just seems like it ought to. :)
Take care and have a great second year,
Steve

Congratulations, Francesco! That's terrific news! I'm really happy for you.
BTW, did Stanford give you a copy of your MRI and the associated text report to view and keep for yourself? And did you have a follow-up audiogram? If so, has your hearing gotten any worse since treatment 1 year ago?
Best wishes,
Tumbleweed
