An early greeting to all the mother's out there, doing double duty with motherhood and battling AN symptoms. I'm a mom myself, but my 'baby' is 35 and I don't have to run after two or three or more little ones all day (except for Diego, who's my grand-dog!) AND have to deal with the AN junk. Anyway, hats off to all you fine Moms and I hope that you have a great weekend and a wonderful Mother's Day. :) :) :)

Hi, Sue:
If it's O.K., I'll use this thread to offer my wishes for a truly happy Mother's Day to all the mothers in our 'family', of which I know there are many. Dealing with an acoustic neuroma (or a spouse with an AN) and taking care of children, be they toddlers or adolescents, is a tough job. I admire those who do it. So, to all the moms, I again say: Happy Mothers Day! I hope it's a great one for you. :)

Thank you, Sue!
Happy Mother's Day to you, too. My "babies" are 37 & 30!!!!! I do have 2 dogs and a grandpuppy, but I agree, those with little ones at home, my hat is off to you.

Thanks, Sue.
And a Happy Mother's Day to you and everyone else!
I may be dealing with twin adolescents and the occasional AN symptom, but I wouldn't have it any other way - at least as far as the kids are concerned.
If I had a choice, I'd have rather skipped the AN completely ;D

I'm going to jump right out there & say "Thank You"!!! Mine are 10, 6 & 5 and even though I only deal with residual AN stuff these days...my family has been thru the mini-ringer lately and I am glad that I am their MOTHER...even though I haven't felt like a very good one the last few weeks! :'(

Hmmm. Don't have a mom. Don't have a wife. And my daughter isn't a mom yet. So to my adopted AN family -- Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms. And I'd like to echo Jim's comment -- I too admire all of you who are dealing with an AN yet have the fortitude and love to raise a family.
Have a great Mother's Day!

Thanks, Sue and I wish a Happy Mother's Day to all, also. Mine are 36 and 32 and then grand kids 16,15, & 5, then the gran dogs 10 and 8 and my own two little girls (The Pug and the Mini Dachsund) 2 and 4. A houseful and a handful! Wouldn't have it any other way.

Happy Mother's day to all!
Cindy - I also have two boys (22 and 25), plus a male lab and of course my hubby, so lots of testosterone floating around my house LOL I also wouldn't have it any other way, although someday a granddaughter might be nice :)

OMG! I got me a Mother's Day card from my "nephew" for his favorite "Auntie"! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.... and to my "nephews mommy"....... {{{{{{{{{{{{HUGGLES}}}}}}}}}} Happy Mom's Day to you!!!!!!!! :-* :-* :-*
*walks off with happy tears with thought of receiving a Mom's Day Card without ever having a belly stretchmark*

And this Cheryl has 2 daughters. 30 and 32. Plus my special granddaughters who are 15 mos and 4 1/2. They are growing up way too fast.
No pets now but we had lots when the girls were home. The youngest daughter has had 2 pygmy hedgehogs which was quite the adventure.
We now have 4 grandkitties. Snurri and Zoey in Michigan and Stripey and Isabella in Iowa.

Matti,
Talk about testosterone floating around......be in this house, its flying to the rafters of the roof with 4 sons and a husband!. I have a 21 yr old (yesterday, my 1st Mother's Day baby), a 19 yr old, an 18 yr old and my baby will 17 on June 2nd.
My husband is Italian, and my boys love their soccer! Forza Italia......World Cup & Euro Cup my house just erupts with their friends here watching the games. As you said "I wouldn't have it any other way" I too am praying for granddaughters when the time comes.
Phyl,
I'm so happy you received a lovely card from your nephew. Too bad about having "no belly stretchmarks".......rub it in dearie!!! :P

19, 18, & 17 ~ what in the world ~ are you sure your brain wasn't controlled by a tumor then?? I thought 19 months was too close...of course, I had planned on being much younger when I had them!

K,
You forgot my 21 yr old!!! Last night at 11:38 he turned 21. Mother's Day was 22 mins away when I delivered him and my no brain-er husband asked me to "hold off for a few minutes so the baby could be born om Mother's Days" Somethings you NEVER forget!!!
Basically I had 4 babies in 4yrs and 1 month. Since I was in the baby mode I wanted them to be close. They certainly are, I've got 2 in each bedroom. Since I have to share my bedroom with Louie, they have to share also ;D
Happy Mother's Day to all

Phyl - I'll tell your nephew how much you loved his card. He loves it when Auntie Phyl calls ;)
Anne Marie - That's testosterone to the max LOL I loved the comment from your hubby about waiting a few extra minutes, I can hear mine saying the same thing.
Happy Birthday to your son!! Both of mine spent their 21st in Vegas. I wasn't allowed to go, apparently I am too over protective :o. Sorry kids, but that's one thing I can't get rid of, just like the stretch marks you gave me!!
By the way, I'm Italian too ;D
Happy Mother's Day!
Hugs,

Happy Mother's Day!
My kiddos are 10 (my daughter, who is severely mentally & physically disabled), and my sons who are 13 & 16. My translab surgery is scheduled for June 12, so my MD gift was an MP3 player already loaded with my favorite (and calming) songs for post-surgery days (programming courtesy of my eldest). And, I also got the mono-ear bud that was discussed on this forum a while back. As I am pretty much SSD already, I LOVE this!! (listening to Sade as I type).

Tamara,
You go girl!!!! You deserve a terrific Mother's Day! I am so glad your family understood the perfect gift! How thoughtful!
Happy Mother's Day all you moms! (Have to say my hubby is doing dishes as we speak, even with my distorted hearing, it is music to my ears.)

I'll vote for that - but there has to be equal time for Dad's who are doing it on their own also.
My son has asked me twice in the last week when Kids' Day is. I informed him that in our house it seems like Kids' Day is every day of the week ;D

Jan: I love when kids say the darndest things...Don't let Hallmark Know or there will be an event for Kids Day:-)
BTW, for those of you looking for a funny movie, my grown sons and I went to see What Happens in Vegas with Ashton Kucher, Cameron Diaz, Dennis Miller et al...It is quite funny if you need laughs.

you look too young to have grown kids :)
Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day.
