Title: Tinnitus Sounds
Post by: LADavid on March 08, 2008, 06:17:21 pm
Hey all
I've mentioned this before and I finally found it -- a website that has some typical tinnitus sounds.

There is not much that I am aware of that gets rid of it.  But it helps when other people know what you are dealing with.  I played these sounds for those close to me and they were a little more understanding.  It helps.
Have a good evening.
David

That was brilliant, both of my tinnitus sounds were there and I can't wait to play them to my family. Thanks

David:

Thanks for the link.  As I expected, 'my' tinnitus sounds were there (whooshing).  My wife is sympathetic to my dealing with tinnitus but I don't mention it very often as it is relatively minor and doesn't really cause a problem for me.  Amazing how we can adjust to almost anything.  However, I appreciate having a sound she can hear to gain a better understanding of what living with tinnitus is like.

Thanks David:  my tinnitus is closest to the 1st & 4th sounds.

Someone else had posted it awhile ago,   I'm glad you also found & posted it.

Always good thoughts,  Nancy

That wasn't very pleasant. I'm glad my tinnitus is mild enough on most days to not present too much of a problem because on the bad days it's bad.

mine was 5 or 7 and did anyone else not hear the 7500Hz one? My husband said it was really annoying. I heard absolutely nothing.

By the way, I think I've had all of those at one time or another.  Right now mine is somewhere between #1 and #2, but I definitely also had something similar to #4 on occasion and #7 right after surgery. #7 was brutal.  The only one I haven't had is number #5.
